Day 1 - London to Portsmouth
114kms/71 miles 1200m Ascent

We meet early Thursday morning in Twickenham for a briefing and safety talk, before we divide you up into different groups. Each of group is made up of 10 participants of a similar cycling ability and one guide to lead you all the way to Paris. You will cycle through Hampton Court on you way, an area rich in history. From there you will continue along small country roads to our lunch spot in the heart of rural Surrey. As the roads get smaller, you will pass through the prettiest of villages, heading up and down the hills, over the North Downs, to our tea break before you climb the South Downs and on into Portsmouth. Dinner in Portsmouth before taking the over night ferry to Caen

Day 2 – Caen to Bernay
100kms/63 miles 630m Ascent
We will arrive in Can at approx 06:30, where we will have breakfast before heading off on the cycle path and into the French countryside. On your way you will pass tiny hamlets, bubbling brooks, “ville fleurie”, farmhouses and fields of horses. The end of the day’s cycling is in the town of Bernay. Bernay is a traditional French town built around an abbey. Its streets are steeped in history and once showered and changed you will have the chance to sample its delights before a well earned dinner.

Day 3 – Bernay to Arc de Triomphe, Paris
163kms/100 miles 1035m Ascent
Your third and last early morning but this time it is for the 100 mile day! You will cycle through fields of sunflowers, corn and other crops and stop for refreshments in tranquil little villages along the way. The route gives you a taste of civilisation as it takes you past the large town of Evreux, before you once again roll up and down hills to get to the Palace of Versailles, home of the French Monarchy and our finish celebrations, home of the French Monarchy. Here you can have a rest before embarking on the last leg of the journey that will take you all the way into Paris, to the Arc de Triomphe and the finish celebrations. That night you will celebrate your 400kms ride with a Finish Dinner in a restaurant in Paris. Accommodation in central Paris.

Day 4
Free Day! You can make the most of all that Paris has to offer before taking the Eurostar back to St Pancras. A coach will then take you back to Marlow Sports Club.
