The Trek
Snowdon is the highest mountain in England and Wales. From its lofty peak on a clear day you're treated to some extensive views over Ireland, Scotland and England – and apparently 29 lakes. Etched into the cafe, opened in June 2009, is the couplet: "Copa'r Wyddfa : yr ydych chwi yma, yn nes at y nefoedd." "The summit of Snowdon: you are here, nearer to Heaven."

The Itinerary
 Day 1
Pax arrive at Llanberis YHA in Snowdon.
Dinner not included this night to allow flexibility of arrival times.
Meet the guides.
Full briefing with guides.
Kit check.
Divide into different speed and skill groups to walk with each guide.

 Day 2
Give out packed lunches and snacks.
Water check.
Take the bus to Pen y Pass (approx 7 miles).
Set off on walk.
Walk time estimated 6-8 hours depending on fitness.
Non alcoholic celebratory drink at the foot of the mountain/finish trek
Celebratory evening meal in YHA
Accommodation in Llanberis YHA.
